The real cost of hiring today

Hiring a delivery worker the traditional way costs more than you think.

We analyzed what it actually takes to make a successful approval through Indeed or ZipRecruiter. Here's the breakdown.

Direct ad spend
$300–$1,000

Indeed Sponsored Jobs start at $5/day with CPCs of $0.10–$5 per click. Most small businesses spend $150–$1,200/month. Resume database access adds $120–$300/month on top.

Per hiring cycle, per role
Hidden labor cost
$800–$1,500

15–25 hours of staff time per approval — split between HR (filtering, scheduling), Operations Manager (interviews, decisions), and Coordinators. Loaded labor cost at $25–$50/hour.

Per approval, across 3–4 people
If they don't last
$6,000–$15,000

Industry studies estimate the cost of replacing a delivery driver — including ad spend, training time, productivity loss, and onboarding. Last-mile turnover exceeds 100% annually.

The AI difference

Six AI features that replace hours of work with seconds of process.

Responsible by design

Before unlocking a candidate's detailed assessment, you accept a short responsible-use agreement. It says four things, plainly:

  • Assessment results are one data point among many — never the sole basis for a hire.
  • You'll combine this with interview, work history, references, and other relevant factors.
  • Per Equal Employment Opportunity laws, you won't use this to discriminate on protected characteristics.
  • Results are self-reported, a snapshot in time, not an absolute measure of the candidate.

In Massachusetts, the Work Readiness Check is not available to candidates (M.G.L. c. 149 § 19B). Work Style Profile is still available.

And one more thing

Meet Insights — the AI you talk to.

The six features above work behind the scenes. Insights is the one you talk to. Ask any question about your operation in plain English and get real answers from your data — including comparisons against the system average.

No reports to build

Stop exporting CSVs. Just ask.

Everything you'd build a dashboard for — Insights answers in seconds. Hiring metrics, candidate performance, spend, time-to-approval, interview completion rates, top jobs.

Compare against the system

See how you stack up.

"Is my time-to-approval fast?" "Am I paying more or less per approval than others?" Insights compares your metrics to the anonymized system average, so you know if you're operating well — or where you can improve.

Always private

Your data stays yours.

Insights only sees your account. Other companies' data is never exposed. Comparisons use anonymized aggregates, not raw cross-company access.

Bilingual

Ask in English or Spanish.

Insights understands and responds in both languages. Ask "¿Cuántos candidatos aprobé este mes?" and get the answer in Spanish. Switch back to English mid-conversation if you want.

Things companies ask Insights
"Approvals by month last quarter"
"Top 5 drivers I haven't invited"
"Spend this month vs last"
"Avg interview completion rate"
"Which jobs have no applicants"

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

How much does each approval actually cost?
The exact per-approval rate is shown on the Approve button before you confirm. We adjust pricing based on volume and founding-customer status. Most companies pay significantly less per approval than they'd spend on Indeed ads to find the same person. Sign up to see your specific rate.
What if the candidate doesn't show up or quits in a week?
The approval charge is generally non-refundable since that's how hiring goes. However, for exceptional cases like documented fraud or no-shows you can mark them as "Did not report" in your Approval History — we review case-by-case and may refund.
Can I use my own interview questions?
Yes. We provide starter templates for each worker type, but you can fully customize them — disqualifying screening questions, scored questions with point options, and your own auto-approve / auto-reject thresholds.
What worker types can I hire?
Drivers, helpers, dispatchers, fleet managers, and operations managers. Each role has its own interview template and Match Score logic tuned to what matters for that position.
Do I need a contract or long-term commitment?
No. Sign up free, hire when you need to, take a break when you don't. You're never billed unless you click Approve on a candidate.

Stop paying for clicks. Start paying for results.

Free to start. Pay only when you approve a candidate. 60 seconds to sign up.
