Tech Ideas LLC (“Tech Ideas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates OfferMile, a hiring platform for the last-mile delivery and logistics industry. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use OfferMile (the “Service”).
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
A. Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: name, email, phone number, password
- Profile information: address, date of birth, gender, work history, license information, resume, profile photo, bio
- Verification information: government-issued ID, Social Security Number last 4 digits (for background checks)
- Employment authorization: work eligibility status
- Preferences: job preferences, availability, willingness to relocate, expected pay range
- Company information (for Company Users): company name, type, contact details, website
- Partner information (for Partners): business name, tagline, logos, banking information for payouts
B. Information Generated by Your Use of the Service
- Interview responses (form-based and AI-conducted phone interviews)
- Communications with Companies, Partners, or Tech Ideas support
- Job applications, invitations, and responses
- Verified Work History added by Companies that hire you
- Hiring history, including positions, dates, and outcomes
C. Information Collected Automatically
- Device and browser information
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps)
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)
D. Information from Third Parties
- Background check providers (when authorized by you)
- Motor vehicle record providers (when authorized by you)
- Drug test providers (when authorized by you)
- Sister Platforms operated by Tech Ideas LLC, including TrueConnect (see Section 4)
- Referring Partners (when you sign up through a Partner referral link)
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Match Candidates with relevant Company job opportunities
- Process payments and pay out commissions
- Communicate with you about your account, applications, hires, and the Service
- Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, job invitations, hire notifications, weekly summaries)
- Send SMS notifications about job opportunities (with your consent)
- Improve and personalize the Service
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and policy violations
- Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect our legal rights
- Conduct analytics and research to understand how Users use the Service
3. Sharing of Information
We share your information in the following circumstances:
A. With Companies (Candidate data)
When you register as a Candidate and a Company invites you to interview, that Company has access to your profile information, including your name, contact details (after payment of the hire fee), work history, screening responses, and interview results.
B. With Candidates (Company data)
Candidates invited to interview by a Company see the Company name, position description, and Company location information necessary to evaluate the opportunity.
C. With Partners (referral attribution data)
When a Partner refers a Company that subsequently makes hires through the Service, the Partner is notified of the referral attribution and the resulting commissions, including the Company name and aggregate hire counts.
D. With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, including:
- Payment processors (Stripe)
- Email delivery providers
- SMS delivery providers
- Cloud hosting and storage providers
- Analytics providers
- Background check, MVR, and drug test providers (when authorized by you)
- Customer support tools
These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and to maintain reasonable security measures.
E. For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to (i) comply with legal obligations, (ii) protect our rights or property, (iii) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing, (iv) protect the safety of Users or the public, or (v) defend against legal claims.
F. Business Transfers
If Tech Ideas LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
4. Sister Platforms
Tech Ideas LLC operates multiple platforms that may share data with OfferMile, including TrueConnect. We may import Candidate information from these platforms into OfferMile and may share OfferMile data with these platforms for operational, analytics, and service-improvement purposes.
Because all such platforms are operated by Tech Ideas LLC, this sharing is internal to a single entity and is not considered “third-party” data sharing for purposes of this Privacy Policy.
5. Background Checks and Third-Party Verifications
When you authorize a Company to obtain a background check, motor vehicle record check, or drug test through the Service:
- The Company contracts with a third-party consumer reporting agency
- You receive FCRA-required disclosures and provide written authorization
- The results are shared with the Company and may be visible in the OfferMile platform
- You have the right to dispute inaccurate information directly with the consumer reporting agency
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to:
- Provide the Service
- Maintain Verified Work History integrity for the benefit of Companies relying on it
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce our agreements
As described in our Terms of Service, Candidate accounts cannot be deleted. We retain Candidate data permanently to preserve Verified Work History records and audit trails. You may update your information, hide your profile from searches, or contact us with specific concerns.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:
- Keep you logged in
- Remember your preferences
- Understand how you use the Service
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Detect and prevent fraud
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit your ability to use some features of the Service.
8. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. These include encryption in transit, secure password storage, access controls, and regular security reviews.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate information
- Restriction: request that we limit the processing of your information
- Objection: object to certain uses of your information
- Portability: receive your information in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent

Please note that some rights are subject to legal exceptions. As described in our Terms of Service and Section 6 above, Candidate accounts cannot be deleted in order to preserve Verified Work History integrity. We will work with you to address other privacy concerns to the extent permitted by law.
10. California Residents
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know: what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
- Right to delete: subject to legal exceptions, including those described in this Privacy Policy
- Right to correct: inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing: Tech Ideas LLC does not sell personal information to unaffiliated third parties, and does not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information.
12. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify Users by email and/or by posting a prominent notice on the Service. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last revised. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of that Policy.
